Back in TEXAS Again!

Pastor Campa and his wife
We made it back to Texas from Alabama. I spent Sunday morning with Pastor Ruben Campa at Iglesia Bautista Fundamental Del Norte. It is a great church in Houston. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the good crowds they had on Sunday morning and such a sweet spirit. I taught the men's Sunday school class and then preached the morning service. God really blessed and many people came to talk to me about the great need of Thailand. It is a great church!

Sunday evening I preached at Pastor Santiago Medran's church, Segunda Iglesia Bautista Libertad. I was at their missions conference in January and have already received a promise of support. But it was a blessing and honor to preach their evening service. They had a missionary their to present his ministry to Ecuador named Ruben Maya. The presentation was a blessing and so were the people of Pastor Medran's church. Once again my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the size of the crowd. It was a very full service!

Pastor Arcand and Pastor Tester
On Monday we travelled to Longview Baptist Temple in Longview, Texas to attend their teen conference. My daughters were excited as we met a group from our church in Lincoln. While there I saw two of my supporting pastors. Pastor James Tester is from Triad Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC was the first church to partner with us. Also, Pastor Paul Arcand from Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pasadena, MD is a great partnering church as well. It was good to spend time fellowshiping with them!

The services were great and we enjoyed spending time with the kids from our church. Mu Htee is a 9th grade girl that was reached through the Lincoln Baptist Church when she was in 2nd grade. She is faithful and good multilingual interpreter/soul winner for our church. (Her family is Karen from Burma and lived in Thailand before coming to America.) The overall services were great as there was a 45 minute invitation on Wednesday night. Pastor Gray kept it open because people kept coming forward and coming forward and coming forward! Amen! Please pray for us as we will be traveling to Colorado for the month of July.

Two Great Conferences in Texas and Alabama

Pastor Sergio Barbosa
International Kids Choir on Friday night

We were at a Wonderful Missions conference at Pastor Barbosa's church last week. It was at Iglesia Bautista Biblica Fundamental. They had 20 missionaries there for the conference which is a very large number. All missionaries were taken on for support which we are grateful for. Each night at least five presentations were given. On Thursday morning I had a chance to do some soul winning during which time I met Brenda Canales and her son Bryan. I was thankful for the chance to witness to them and see them bow their heads and trust Christ as their Saviour. Also, on Friday morning I spoke on the churches radio program. It truly was a great conference and an honor to be a part of it.

Then on Saturday we travelled to Madison, AL to get to a missions conference at Madison Baptist Church. It was "Around the Corner - Around the World" themed conference. It started Sunday and ran through the following Friday night. Sunday was a great day getting to give testimony in the Sunday school hour and then listening to Pastor Mike Allison preach the morning message. Then I was privileged enough to be allowed to preach the evening service. Then their VBS started on Monday morning, with a Round Up Theme. They had VBS every morning and missions conference every evening. I taught the 6th grade boys class and we had seven 6th grade boys trust Christ as their Saviour. The child graduation is going to be Friday night so please pray that God will bless and many parents get saved!

Chrishion

Chrishion had asked my wife when the Bible would be given away. So my wife asked him if he would rather have a Bible or a new Bicycle. He said he would rather have a Bible. This touched our hearts so we went and got him a new Bible and gave it to him. He was very happy. I also had a chance to witness to him and he told me he got saved in Athens in 2017. God had bless as there had been 76 trust Christ as their Saviour before Friday. What a wonderful opportunity to see people come to the Saviour! Please pray for us as we will be heading out to Houston early in the morning for more meetings this coming Sunday.

From Burlington, IA to DeQuincy, LA

Pastor Brad Cranston

We had the opportunity to visit Heritage Baptist Church in Burlington, IA this past Wednesday night. It was a privilege to meet Pastor Brad Cranston in person and spend some time answering questions from his people. We had the opportunity to present the ministry and we enjoyed listening to a missionary from Canada bring the evening message. He did a wonderful job.

Pastor Bruce Austin

From there we headed to DeQuincy, LA to spend all day Sunday with Temple Baptist Church and Pastor Bruce Austin. I taught the teenagers and the young adults in Sunday school. Then I preached the morning service. I was able to present and show my video on Sunday night and preach the evening sermon. God really blessed our time there and we were able to give out some tracts. I was also very impressed with the church. They just left the SBC four years ago and are doing a great job impacting their community as an independent Baptist church. They are getting ready to start a bus ministry in the near future having already bought the bus. Please pray for them as they are making an effort to do a great work for the Lord. They have a also have a great missions program. Now we are heading to Katy, Texas for a missions conference starting this coming Wednesday.

Sixteen Year Anniversary Sunday

Anniversary Picture

In January my pastor asked me if I could schedule to be at our home church for the first Sunday in June to celebrate our churches 16 year anniversary. I spent the weekend with them and preached in an anniversary revival on Friday night and Saturday night along with Pastor Steve Johnson from Lighthouse Baptist Church in Aurora, CO. I went out visiting on Saturday with the Burmese Refugee Bus Route and actually even drove the route on Sunday morning. (Because I wanted to, not because I had too! Our church has 6 CDL drivers in it besides myself.) God really blessed our day!

Our Visiting Family
We had three first time adult visitors come with us. A visiting couple that came with me had said they were already saved, but the wife (Hsa Gay) came forward at the invitation after I preached and she said she didn't really know for sure if she would go to Heaven. I had one of our Karen altar workers (Paw Ku Moo) deal with her and she got saved! Praise God! There is nothing like seeing someone come to the Saviour!

Our church had 161 in attendance with only having 6 first time visitors in attendance (Three adults and three kids.) This means most of the folks that are in the church picture are our church membership. My pastor is also my son and I am very happy with the job he is doing having taken over our unique international church. Please pray for us as we will be traveling to Burlington, Iowa this Wednesday to continue our deputation.
