Great Time in Kansas and Texas

Three converts in Wichita
We had an opportunity to present the work in the Liberty Baptist Church in Wichita, KS. It is a wonderful church that has Bro. Jason Owens as their pastor. He is the founder of the church.

While out soul winning for several hours I was blessed enough to see five people trust Christ as their Saviour. My wife and I really enjoyed spending time with the pastor and his wife. They are extremely talented musically. The church also voted to take me on for support Sunday night.

Then we were in Lewisville, Texas at the Iglesia Bautista Fundamental. Pastor Daniel Ortiz is the pastor of this great church. He taught a fantastic study on "The Law" finishing up a series he had been teaching the church. I was honored to be in his church and have the opportunity to present the ministry to his people. I was also happy to have met Tian Cung and his wife that afternoon down the street from the church. They both trusted Christ as their Saviour. The area has a lot of Burmese refugees there and I felt right at home! Please pray for us as we continue our journey....

Great Survey Trip to Southeast Asia

Preaching in Shan workcamp in Thailand
We spent three weeks in Southeast Asia surveying many cities and villages in Thailand and Burma. God truly blessed our efforts as we were able to preach the Gospel to many people through a translator and see 26 first time visitors come to church our final Sunday there. On our trip we saw many potential places for starting churches. The majority of towns we visited had no Baptist churches at all. Our first weekend there I looked out from the mountain side noticing all the people and thinking about the fact that most of the people in the country are idol worshipers. In fact it brought tears to my eyes as I looked at them. They need someone to tell them about Christ.

The statistics for Thailand alone is that 95% of the people are Buddhist. Then 4% are Muslim, followed by less than 1% identifying themselves as Christians. Wow, think about that!!! 99% of the country is lost and there is almost no one looking for them! It breaks my heart every time I think about it. The stats for Burma are similar. Let's consider the fact that Thailand's land mass is similar to the states of Nebraska and Kansas combined. Those two states have 4.5 million people in them. Thailand has 69 million people. FOLKS, THE NEED IS GREAT AND THE TIME IS SHORT. Please pray for me and my family as we travel. Pray for our safety and for us to return to the Indochina area very quickly! Time is running out...
